One thing that springs to mind when I think of St Patrick’s Day is a day in my youth when I went to an Irish Pub with my then boyfriend (now husband) and his best friend who had Irish heritage. The atmosphere in the pub reminded me so much of pubs in the Netherlands which I spent a great deal of time in when I was 18. That experience inspired this design.
